Here is my Artist Statement to go with my newly added pieces: There is something beautiful in the pages of books whether words or imagery. Through books I can sail the high seas, be a soldier, eat a gingerbread house, shoot someone, cast magic spells, marry a king, travel to far off lands, see the fall of Rome, be a damsel in distress, survive the Salem Witch Trials, eat feasts, ride dragons, discover fossils, be Ella Fitzgerald, haunt a house, and even die. Once a reader opens a book they are free to go anywhere; just as the reader inserts themselves into a book, I want the viewer to find themselves in the piece. In these works I want the

I just found out that I have been accepted into the Post Baccalaureate program at the Oregon College of Art and Craft! I am so excited. ^-^ Once I found information about this program I knew it was where I needed to be. It looks like there are going to be fantastic learning experiences and the artistic community sounds like a great group of people. I cannot wait for my next adventure to begin!

This is a journal entry. That is actually the title of my senior exhibition. We, the 14 art seniors graduating this semester,  thought it would be a witty title considering it would be on a postcard initially and therefore, it was a postcard, not an art show. We spent most of today setting it up and it looks great. There was only minor loss - a few repairs- but we've survived. Tomorrow it opens and everyone will get to see how far we have come... I cannot believe I am here. In only a few weeks I will leave college with a B.A. in Studio Art: Ceramics a double major in Art History, and minor in Latin. I look forward to sharing my explorations
